THERE WAS ONCE a Tsar who fell seriously ill, the diagnosis: “This man is not happy,” the remedy: “You have to find a happy man and put on his shirt.” ZUM-ZUM THEATRE invites you to participate in one of the great adventures of humankind, the search for happiness! To accomplish this we want to associate new technologies to the purest theatricality to create a universe of moving images, objects, music and situations to answer a big question: Who is the happiest man or woman in the world?

Created by Diego Xavier Caicedo Melchiade in September 2016 in Bellpuig (Catalonia) our company combines performing arts with technology with the intention of creating shows bringing to the audience to their personal dreams. Through our creations, the company is hoping to open the door to a magical joyful world inviting the audience to enter with new eyes, becoming children again and forgetting about reality. Laika

1957. We are in Moscow, at the height of the Cold War and the space race. Laika is a wee dog who somehow survives on the frozen city streets. Never would she have dreamed that her destiny might carry her into space in the Sputnik II spacecraft, that she would go down in the history of humanity as the first living being to orbit the Earth.

In this show, Xirriquiteula Teatre uses techniques as diverse as rear projection, collage, puppets, automatons and gesture.

Blowing

At this precise moment, in the world, there must be millions and millions of desires flying that want to come true. We ask for wishes in many different ways: blowing our birthday candles, watching a shooting star pass, blowing an eyelash, throwing a coin into a well, or blowing a dandelion flower.

We desire many things in many moments of our life, but … where these desires go? Are they accomplished? Who makes them come true?

In ‘Blowing’ we will live a trip of a small spore who has a mission, to fulfill Yuri’s desire. A trip through the wind, full of adventures and situations in which we will find answers to all these questions … or not!

A visual, poetic and innovative show, where dance, live music and technology will invite us to fly through a fantastic, magical and absurd world.

KL’AA, Your Song

KL’AA is a creation show aimed at the little ones (from 0 to 5 years old) and their families. The basis of the show is the voice (three female voices) and the movement.

KL’AA means to sing in the hadzabe language. the most ancient lenguage have been found. We go to the origin of human communication. Is a musical journey of the child towards the discovery of the world. A visual and audible experience through voice and song. It reveals the voice as the foundation of human presence, as a vehicle of identity. The show is being built thanks to the sounds. The sounds a baby emits to communicate. From here comes our music.

“Slowly I leave the nest. Where am I? Who am I? With every sound and with each step I am building my inner self more and more, and then I can look at you and the others. With the compass of curiosity, I’m moving away from home to discover new places, new adventures and build my way, my song. The song that makes me who I am”.
